As a UX designer I have used various tools over the years.
When managers or recruiters ask for “proficiency in tool X and Y or Z” I take it the way that the thing which matters in that regard is whether I have experience and knowhow of “a tool of that kind”. Because the particularities are usually learned “on the job” and I’m flexible enough to adapt myself to the given tools and tech-stack appropriate to the work/team culture.
What I see way more important is to use just the right level of detail necessary for evaluating your design and achieving a common understanding of the product in the team which develops it.
In that spirit, check out what (kind of) tool I use for which purposes, with concrete work examples too.
